The Hong Kong Educational Research Association (HKERA) was established in 1984 and currently has a membership of over 400. Membership comprises teachers, school principals, administrators, counselors, social workers, graduate students, researchers and publishers. |

The Association aims to promote public recognition of the importance and significance of educational research; to promote and facilitate co-operation among educational researchers in various fields and from various institutions; to advance the quality and standard of educational research and members' understanding of education issues in Hong Kong; to provide a focal point and a responsible forum for the exchange of professional ideas and practices among members; and to disseminate knowledge and findings as derived from educational inquiries. |
